Stonewall Resort in Roanoke, WV was the gorgeous setting for the wedding weekend of Sara Beth & Kirk. I had been looking forward to documenting these two, as well as their family and friends, since our autumn engagement session here in Huntington. Their resort wedding was EXACTLY what soon-to-be-weds dream of, flawless in color, weather, surroundings, and overall happiness! Sara Beth could not have chosen a more perfect dress – 100% elegant, but light and airy as well. And those flowers!!! Hats off to Blooms Florist for the lovely works of art!! A special shout out as well to the wonderful and vivacious Yohana Williams for her planning excellence and overall organization and execution of this event! I am so pleased to unveil some of my favorite moments – this is a flawless Stonewall wedding and I loved our day after shoot around the property. Thank you, Sara Beth and Kirk, for exploring with me and being all around perfect “wedding people!!!” Cheers to these newlyweds and much love always!!!
June 24 was a classically beautiful early summer day in Huntington, WV – a perfect backdrop for the nuptials of the lovely Jena & Jeff! I had been looking forward to documenting this wedding since our engagement session the previous autumn. These two are superbly down to earth, happy, and easygoing people – not to mention beautiful in front of the camera! I had a blast hanging out with the ladies during preparations – the flower girls are some of the cutest ever! After nuptials at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, we adjourned to Guyan Country Club for portrait ops on the grounds and a very festive reception inside the ballroom. Chicago based duo Felix and Fingers Dueling Pianos were absolutely awesome entertainers and the staff/management Guyan are some of the best people around! I had a great time working alongside two of my favorite videographers, Abby & Nathan Saylors aka The RC Saylors. Jena and Jeff’s friends and family were a five star group – people truly enjoyed the company of one another and danced throughout the night, a perfect celebration! And the sparkler exit – Wow!!!!! Some of my favorite memories of the day:
Memorial Day weekend was a magical time at Stonewall Resort in Roanoke, WV! I had been looking forward to documenting the nuptials of Kassie & Tyler for over a year – these two are such appreciative, friendly, humble, and hardworking people. Pair these excellent qualities with one of my favorite venues, plus an incredible host of family and friends and the result was a spectacular wedding weekend! I love the special and sentimental touches of family throughout the day – this was a group of parents and siblings who truly love Kassie and Tyler and worked diligently to ensure that their time at Stonewall was absolutely perfect. I loved the “Letters to the Bride” book that Kassie’s dearest people crafted for her – she will be able to look at these stories and well wishes decades from now and smile! I was very impressed that even some wedding day showers did not dampen the spirits of anyone – we made great use of the beautiful covered cobblestone entry way and roamed around the resort grounds the next day for additional bride & groom footage (a super fun way to snag some wonderful location shots without wedding day time constraints!) I could not be any happier to wish this couple the happiest of futures and unending love – thank you for collaborating with me and special thanks to all of your family and friends!!! A few of my favorites from the weekend:
I am over the moon for this Baltimore City engagement session! Megan, Bryan, and I met up at the Howard Peters Rawlings Conservatory & Botanic Gardens for the first segment of our shoot. The conservatory is amazing and we especially loved the desert area! This couple is adorable beyond words – it is impossible to take a bad photo of them! After the conservatory, we visited the Mount Vernon neighborhood for our next segment. The authentic vintage visuals of this area were perfect for photography and the light was out of this world 🙂 Wrapping the shoot at the harbor, we took full advantage of the beautiful waterfront! Drinks and snacks followed and I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Megan & Bryan in person after emails and texts – their December nuptials at The Greenbrier Sporting Club are going to be phenomenal and we are hoping for at least a few snowflakes in the West Virginia mountains 🙂 Biggest congrats to this beautiful couple – counting the days till your magical day!!!!
