Allison and JB’s wedding day at the historic Frederick Hotel in Huntington, WV beckon to a far away era – as I shot this day, I constantly felt as if we had been transported back to the 1920’s! The Frederick is a favorite landmark of mine in my hometown and it is a glorious setting for a wedding – the interiors are authentic and stunning and the surrounding streets and sidewalks are some of the best spots ever, especially for black & white shooting. I had the joy of working with Allison’s family in the past for her sister’s wedding at Stonewall Resort and being reunited with this group was one of the happiest days of this year! One cannot find nicer people anywhere 🙂 And I LOVE JB’s enthusiasm for photos – many guys have to be wrangled into photos, but this one was engaged, excited, and thoroughly enjoyed the process, which is one of the best compliments that my crafty can receive. And lets visit the color palette – the lavender and deep blue is downright dreamy. Spurlock’s Flowers (special shout out to my dearest Matt Reynolds and crew!!!!) provided stunning arrangements and bouquets – I could not get enough of documenting these blooms!! Shelley and Kellie of Simplicities were 5 star coordinators – these are two ladies who work hard, have tremendous attention to detail, and take absolutely perfect care of their clients during the course of a busy event. Music by Joshua Ruby of Bravo Live is always a treat – I love seeing Josh’s smiling face anytime I arrive for event set up! The dance floor is guaranteed to stay packed throughout the night! Speaking of the dance floor, the groomsmen had some HILARIOUS moments with props, posing, and dancing 🙂 The West Virginia Photo Booth Company kept guests in costume and having fun throughout the evening. I have been so excited for the reveal of this vintage inspired wedding that I have butterflies – lets wait no longer for an array of my favorite moments!! Congrats, happiness, and love to Mr. and Mrs. Lageman and to all of their family members and guests!!
